- Infant Seats: The name says it all - these are meant for infants till they are about a year or two old. The infant car seat can also double up as a carrier as well. You can carry your baby out of the car even without taking him out of the seat, thus ensuring smooth mobility.
- Convertible Car Seats: These baby car seats are used from birth until your baby outgrows his car seat. This means they can be used in both forward facing and/or rear facing positions, depending on the weight of your child. However, convertible car seats are not portable and cannot be used as infant carriers. You will have to compromise on the mobility and portability factor if you buy these seats for your child.
- Booster Seats: These are best for children who are no more toddlers but haven’t reached adult height yet. These seats lift the child’s height so that your car's seatbelt does not pass over his neck.
